How We Prepare to Paint

To have a perfect and crisp paint job requires a clean surface. That’s why at Spear Industrial, we go above and beyond to make sure you’re getting the best business possible.

Before we apply paint, we strip rust, dirt, and old paint from the surface in order to create a clean palette. We do this with abrasive blasting. Abrasive blasting is a preparation method, also known as sandblasting. Abrasive blasting is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive media against a surface under high pressure to remove surface contaminants like rust, or failed coatings.

After we sandblast, we apply a protective lining to the surface to ensure protection against rust and corrosion. This is the most important part of the process as it helps the life of the outer layer of paint last longer while protecting what’s underneath.

We want to make sure that your industrial structures last for years to come. Contact us at Spear Industrial to find out how we can ensure a professional, clean, and precise job for your project.
